Snow much fun!!

Today was a snow day for Bug and she took advantage. Mommy, Daddy & Bug had lots of fun making a snowman, having snowball fights and sledding down the small hill behind the house.

The Polar Express Surprise!

Mommy & Daddy gave Bug a wonderful Christmas surprise. To start off the night Bug got to open an early Christmas gift from Mommy & Daddy. It was a Polar Express book and the DVD. Mommy and Daddy told Bug they needed to go on a long drive to pick up something. In the car, Bug watched her new Polar Express dvd and then stopped to eat. After dinner, Bug got to open up another present and it was pajamas. She changed into her new pajamas to get more comfy. After a short drive, they arrived pulled into a train station. To Bug's surprise, there was the Polar Express waiting for her to take a trip to the North Pole! After boarding the train and getting settled, Bug explored the concession car and waited for the train to start off to the North Pole. The elves on the train sprayed everyone with magical elf dust and had the children write thier list to Santa as they waited. Finally, the last all aboard was called! They were off to the North Pole! One of the elves read the story of the Polar Express while the passangers got to view a wonderful light show through the city of Canton. Next, came the elves with hot chocolate and cookies along to the music Hot Chocolate! from the Movie soundtrack. Soon the train arrived at the North Pole! Santa, Rudolph, Frosty the Snowman, the Grinch, and lots of elves were dancing and waving at all the passangers. Santa got on board and visited all the children on the ride back. Each child recieved the first gift of Christmas, a bell from his sleigh. At first, Bug was so excited because she thought she was the only one chosen to recieve the first gift of Christmas. As she saw that all the other children had one also, she was a bit let down. She was still excited to get one and was even more excited to do the Pajama Parade with the elves! She rocked her PJ's down the aisle and then sang christmas carols with the other children. Soon the train arrived back at the station and it was time to go back home. It was a wonderful night and Bug loved her surprise

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas..

Bug loves this time of year. When the tree was put up she tried hugging it all day. The tree was decorated and the stockings were hung. The sad little gingerbread house made from scratch was a yummy sight with gingerbread men to match. It was a fun night full of christmas time fun!

The Henry Ford Museum

During the stay in Michigan, Mommy, Daddy & Bug went to the Henry Ford Museum where Mommy used to work. There were so many fun things to see there. First was the Lego Castle exhibit with lots of fun hands on activities. The flight area in the museum was great to see and it was also fun to do the assembly line. We also saw the Rosa Park's bus and the presidential cars. The most favorite thing was seeing the amazing Santa Clause! He asked Bug if she had been brushing her teeth well and listening to Mommy & Daddy. Mommy & Daddy were for sure convinced that Santa has elves peeking in the windows!

Thanksgiving Pie at Papaw Tynas!

It's tradition for Bug to go to Papaw Tyna's house for Thanksgiving. She was so excited to go and talked about it the whole week before. She was most excited about Thanksgiving dinner. This year she had certain requirements of what the dinner was suppossed to be. One of those requirements was pumpkin pie. Right when dinner was all served Bug asked, "Well where's the PIE!?!" Everyone reassured her we would have pie after dinner. When Uncle Pat was the first one finished, he got up from the table and Bug questioned the pie again. She asked, "well aren't you gonna have some pie?". He replied," I don't like pie.". She was astonished and went on again " You don't like pie? Who doesn't like pie!?!". Bug ate up her turkey with ketchup and sweet potato casserole which she really liked. Then she was on again about the pie. Finally, she got her pumpkin pie. It took about 20 minutes for her to eat her dinner and 30 seconds to eat her pie. She sure does love pie!!

Helping Papaw cook the Turkey!

After Dinner Papaw, Daddy, Mommy and Bug played board games.

Go Buckeyes!!

Whenever Ohio State plays, Bug dresses in her full buckeye gear on Friday before the game. At school, her teachers are always so thankful to see Bug in her ohio state apparel to cheer on the game. Its been known that if Bug doesn't wear her gear then the Buckeyes won't win the game on Saturday! She's the good luck buckeye!! Here is the picture from the Friday before the Ohio State vs. Michigan game. Sure enough, the Buckeyes won!!
