Halloween preview

Hailey has had a Halloween week rather then just one day. Hailey has really been mezmerized by the wizard of oz lately. She has had a ball being Dorothy (Dortsy-hailey terms). She has been running around the house with her toto and basket singing all the songs. She loves it when I say the wicked witch lines and insisted on Mommy being the wicked witch for Halloween. I gave in and bought a witch hat but thats as far as I go. I took these pictures when she had her Halloween party at school on Tuesday. Afterwards we went and got her pictures taken and they turned out so great! I can't wait to get them back and start handing them out. Hope this gives everyone a little preview :)

Cantalanterns!

Hailey started off digging right into the pumpkin and pulling out guts but then she realized her hands were all gross and she didnt want to have anything more to do with pumpkin carving. So Hailey painted all the rest of her pumpkins and loved the miss jack o' lantern(in haileys terms its a cantalantern)

Another pumkin patch day!

Hailey and I took another trip to a pumpkin patch. This time we went to one near Columbus so that we could meet up with my best friend Sarah and her son, Gabriel. The pumpkin patch we went to has lots of different activities including a barrel train ride, pumkin painting, face painting, hay crawl, a big slide, fun house, hay ride. We did all the activities and had hot apple cider. It was such a nice day to spend with some of my favorite people.

Don't they know that they are suppossed to get married someday??

Hailey's field trip to the pumpkin patch

Hailey went on her first field trip to the pumpkin patch. It was cold and rainy in the morning and we thought for sure it was cancelled. But we drove to there and it stopped raining. First the kids visited the animals and then went into the barn to listen to a story about pumpkins. They asked the children what kind of things we make with pumpkins. There were the usual anwsers like pumpkin pie and pumpkin cookies, but buggie's first thought was pumpkin ice cream and yelled it out. She is very much her mothers daughter :) After talking about pumpkins, they made a scarecrow and named it John Wayne. Then it was time for the hayride to go and look for pumpkins. Hailey wanted a baby pumpkin so we searched and searched for the perfect baby pumpkin in a field of large pumpkins. We found one and took the ride back and then had our snack which was Haileys week for snack. I had made these awesome mini "carmel" apples that were really covered with peanut butter and sprinkles. The kids loved them and the parents raved over what a neat idea it was. These are the days I love being a mommy. We had so much fun on Hailey's first field trip.

Fall photoshoot

Every year, I usually do a fall photoshoot of Hailey over at Roscoe. I'm not so sure that this year's shoot was "fally" enough. I might try again this weekend. Here are some cute pictures I took, cute but not fall enough. I know I'm so picky!

Troublemaker Ballerina

As much as I would love Hailey to be a dancer, I'm not so sure she is so interested. While showing the parents thier dance, Hailey decided instead of dancing she would make faces at the other kids. I found this to be so funny, besides the fact she pesters the other children. But she does look so adorable in her little tutu.

The Fair

The last week of September everyone in Coshocton gets excited about the Fair. The schools are even off for several days for the Fair. On Tuesday of Fair week, Jeremy took the day off work and we spent the day there. We started off at 11 am and we beat a lot of the crowds. While Hailey was the first and only child on the rides, we had the opportunity to stop the ride if she didn't like it. It was a good thing because we were so unsure of Hailey on the rides. Last year Hailey tried climbing out of the Dragon roller coaster while it was going. It terrified Jeremy and I so much that we are very selective on ride choices. The Carasol and the Pony ride are all of our favorites. I think Hailey rode the Carasol 4 times! After the rides we went and visited the animals. We watched some children ride thier horses in the arena and Hailey thought that was really cool. Our favorite animals were the chickens/roosters and turkeys. Hailey was so adorable going around clucking at the chickens and roosters. She really got a kick out of the roosters crowing too. Next we had to get fair food, which kicked in on Jeremy and I later that night. We got Italian Sausages (Jeremy and I's favorite), waffle cakes, frozen bananas and watermelon. And of course Jeremy can't go to the fair without playing skeeball. He tried passing it on to Hailey but I think she takes after her Mommy in that dept. Both Hailey and I kept throwing them in the other lane! We stopped into the educational building and found the Sacred Heart table and sure enough, Buggie had a painting there. So we just had to take a picture. On the way out of the fair, I had to grab some Mums that they were selling for dirt cheap.. Our fair day was great(minus the temper tantrum leaving the fair), weather was nice, food was tasty, and no terrifying experiences on the rides.
