School Fall dress up party & parade!

Bug's preschool had a fun dress up parade down Main street and through a local dentistry. When they returned to thier classroom there were goodies and crafts and a pumpkin story. Bug was dressed up as Goldilocks with her baby bear minus Momma & Poppa bear. She said her favorite part was goodies and the story.

Halloween Parties!

Bug dressed up for dance class and storytime as a witch. She did not wear the witch hat for dance class but wore it for storytime. Mommy made the Tutu herself!

pumpkin carving

Daddy & Bug carved and colored a pumkin and Mommy & Bug made a kitty cat pumkin.

Pumpkin Patch

Bug's class went on a field trip to Shumaker Farm. It was a very cold and rainy morning and they all met in the barn. The class all stuffed a scarecrow with hay, read a story about pumpkins and learned about different kinds of harvest that farmers have. Then they headed off on the hayride to the pumpkin patch in a light drizzle of rain. In the pumkin patch, Bug wanted to find the perfect pumpkin. It was a very decisive process trucking through all the mud. She ended up choosing one small pumpkin and one large one. After the ride back to the barn, Mommy & Bug hurried up and got into the car and enjoyed a nice cup of hot chocolate and ginger cookies.

Beautiful Dancer

Since last year, Bug has made tremendous progress in dance. She is very focused this year and has seemed to develop some grace. Her best friend Bee and Rissa are also in her class this year. They have lots of fun in class but Bug seems to think she is the boss. Bee usually can hold her own and put her back in place!

Fairy House Workshop

Bug had a super busy saturday but she managed to squeeze in a wonderful fairy house building workshop at Clary Gardens. First the girls heard a wonderful fairy story, did a fairy finger puppet poem, sang a fairy song and learned about several different fairy books. Did you know that Laura Ingalls wrote Fairy Poems and other poems in newspapers before she wrote books?? After eating some fairy cookies, the girls gathered some natural materials to make thier fairy houses in the woods. Bug did a wonderful job with Mommy's help making a beautiful fairy house. Bug also really enjoyed dressing up like a fairy.

Fair Time!!!

Every year, Fair time is a quite a big deal in town. Bug had several days off school for fair week. Like all the rest of the children, she couldn't miss it. Bug met her best friend Bee and her sister Rissa at the fair. The girls got there early and rode all the rides, looked at all the animals, smelled all the fresh produce and enjoyed some yummy watermelon. A break from the fair and a nap was needed at one o'clock but Bug returned with Mommy & Daddy several hours later to ride all the rides again and eat yummy fair food. Bug enjoyed a corndog for the first time and got cotton candy to eat on the way home. Daddy & Bug also played games and won a couple stuffed animals, necklaces and a pretty crown! Read about last year's fair week HERE. It's amazing how much Bug has grown and matured since years past. She is so independant and enjoys the world around her whomever shes with and whatever she is doing.

This was Bug's favorite ride but Mommy & Daddy were terrified to let her ride it. Sometime's they just have to let go.
Bug requested to ride Charismo, which is Mommy's friend Kevin's therepy pony.

Daddy loves carrying Bug like this but she's getting too big :( Daddy threw out his back getting her off his shoulders.

This is Bug relaxing after the fair. Can you tell she is a bit zoned out and tired?

Enjoying & discovering fall

While Daddy was watching football, Mommy & Bug went for a nature walk around the neighborhood. Bug pointed out all the different colors of leaves and contrasted the shapes of them. She tried to find which leaves came from which trees. During the walk Bug collected leaves, acorns, wildflowers, and pinecones. Then when returning home, Bug made some decorations for the house.
