My beautiful Bug

After playgroup today, Hailey was soo tired. She looks so sad in this picture but it never ceases to amaze me how beautiful she is. I know I'm her mom and I will think that because she is mine but just look at her! Shes amazing!

Easter

When we woke up Easter morning, the first thing that came out of Hailey's mouth was Easter Bunny. The Easter bunny left a trail of jelly beans leading to her basket and she was appalled at all the jelly beans on the floor and was determined to pick them all up. She was so busy she didnt even see her basket under her play table! Finally after she picked up the last jelly bean she spotted it and yelled, "look a basket!!!

Her favorite thing in the basket was the little mini tea set. Just when I think she's a tomboy she surprises me! She played tea party with her bunny and ate her marshmellow lollipop before breakfast. We thought she was playing ever so nicely while we were getting ready, but my darling little princess had covered herself in marshmellow! Her hair was all stuck onto her face and hands. I would have taken a picture but I had to put her in the bathtub to get all the marshmellow off! That, and I didn't think it was very funny at that point.

We had a couple stops to make on Easter. I felt badly but we didn't go to church, but I just feel so uncomfortable trying new churches alone especially on easter. I'm hoping to find a church that I like with VBS's starting this summer. Our first stop was to Granny Sally's house, she got two easter baskets which to my very happy surprise, were not filled with tons of candy! woo hoo! yay easter bunny! Food was great and it was nice to see some family. Next... off to my moms (Mamaw's house) It is always a zoo there on holidays with tons of kids! We ate more yummy food and then had an egg hunt. Hailey loves doing egg hunts now and is turning into a pro! Hailey loves playing with her second cousin Carolyn who is only 3 months older.
Its funny to see them playing together because Carolyn's mommy(my cousin) and I are the same age and we grew up playing together too. After all the festivities, we headed home on our 1 1/2 hr drive, exhausted like always. We always have a good time but it would be nice one of these days to have a relaxing holiday. Gotta love the family life though!

Happy Easter!!

We started off our Easter festivities with the 30 degree easter egg hunt! It was very cold but Hailey had a great time. We bundled up and raced around the park and surprisingly Hailey didnt knock down anyone ha ha. She found 5 eggs that she was very proud of and she even recognized the color blue egg! Shes so incredible and smart! Afterward they told the easter story and gave out prizes. I think we should have put on our snowsuits because it was bitter cold!!
We got home and tried to warm up as much as possible and later that evening we colored eggs which dyed our hands :) Hailey did a great job dipping the eggs and being very careful. I hope it gets warm enough to wear a dress brrr... where in the world is spring???? Happy Easter!!

Happy St.Patty's day!!

Hailey and I made St.Patty's day cupcakes for her class at daycare for tommorrow. She had the most fun licking the bowl! Gotta love the green smeared face! Happy St.Patty's Day!!

Libby's Princess Party!

This weekend the Tubbs family went to Libby's 5th birthday princess party! Libby's Mommy, Wendy did such a great job with a princess castle bouce house and lots of activities. Hailey had such a fun time. She surprisingly did very well at the party games, keeping up with the "big" kids. Libby was dressed as Belle and looked adorable and Hailey dressed up in her pretty pink "pincess" dress complete with her beautiful tiara.
They played lots of games including hot potato and pin the shoe on cinderella and Hailey's favorite was musical chairs. It was too cute when halfway during the game Hailey didnt see the empty chair right in front of her and ran all the away around and couldnt find one... she put her hands on her face and said oh no! what happened to my chair?!

It was great to see Libby and her parents (Mike & Wendy) who are our friends too. I also met a great mom who has a daughter almost the same age as Hailey. We all had a great time and wish we could see them more often. Happy Birthday Libby!

Blizzard of 2008

Well we have been snowed in for two days and the snow has just let up a few hours ago. I managed to deep clean a portion of the house but Hailey has gotten a bad case of stir craziness. I don't ever remember having such a snowy winter as this. I think after this blizzard we have paid our dues on snow duty. With Easter only three weeks away, spring needs to come soon! The snow is kinda fun while its white and pretty. We went outside to play and Hailey had a blast but she kept getting frustrated that she she couldn't walk. The snow was above her knees and was getting so mad! lol We went for a walk around the block and enjoyed the few houses that had thier sidewalks snowblown.

She loved putting her handprints in the snow and then eating the snow off her gloves. We tried making snow angels but it was snowing so hard that it was getting in our face everytime we laid down. We had a great time and Hailey was glad Daddy came outside too.

Mommy!!! Hide and seek!!

Hailey did the cutest thing today!!! We were getting ready for bedtime and she said, mommy! daddy! play hide and seek. Both of us were caught off guard because we never taught her this game thinking she was too young. We didnt even have time to say anything before she yelled, go hide! and covered her eyes and turned to the wall... Jeremy and I ran really quick and hid in easy spots. She yelled one! two! twee! weddy or not here I come!!! She had such a blast finding us and Jeremy and I just laughed and laughed. Jeremy got such a kick out of it because he hid in the bed under the covers and it was VERY obvious he was there. She ran in and still couldnt find him. This game will be our new favorite. Neither one of us can figure out who taught her how to play. I'm puzzled yet very, very, amused! Shes the best!

glimpse of spring

Yay! we finally got a lil tease of spring! And finally, the weather was good enough to let Hailey test out her Christmas present from Papaw. The big pink Jeep has been taking over our living room since christmas and I was probably just as excited to get the thing out of the house! We went down to lake park and let her cruise around the empty parking lot. It took her a minute to figure out how to work it but then she started cruising around and wanted to drive to the ducks at the lake. After some debating with her we finally got the jeep back in the car and drove over. It was really cold by the water and the lake was all still frozen reminding me that winter is still here :( At least we got out for a little bit of fresh air. That might keep us sane through the next snow!
