Fall Soccer

This season Bug has really become a great defense player and quite aggressive playing as a kicker.  This was her last season playing Shorties.  Next season she will move up to the Acadamy.

Picture Day!!

Momma & Buggie Day!!

Mommy & Bug took a trip to CocoKey waterpark and had an awesome day!  Bug conquered her fear of climbing the robe ladders and was confident enough to go down the slides by herself!  After CocoKey Waterpark there was a much needed stop at Sonic and no trip to Newark without a stop at Josie's!!!  We love Josies!!

Ain't no thang like a chicken wang!!

One day during a conversation, Bug blurted out "ain't no thang like a chicken wang!".  It was sooo funny and made Mommy & Daddy laugh!  Then when we were at September's First Friday celebration, Bug entered a chicken dance contest & drawing.  And she WON the kickin with the chicken contest and recieved free chicken wings dinner certificate, tee shirt and got her picture taken with the chicken.  As you can see she was quite embarrassed.  Mommy & Daddy kept teasing her with saying "Winner winner chicken dinner!!" Shes so funny!!

Bug's first day of 1st Grade!

Bug was VERY ready to go back to school.  She was so excited about the first grade and seeing her friends again!  Everyone at her desk was in her class last year.  Although Bug was very happy, Mommy was going to miss her baby girl.
The first grade ended up being a lot harder on Mommy then Kindergarten!

Toothfairy back again!

Bug lost her third tooth! It was very loose and Mommy suggested she bite into an apple and sure enough, it came out! Bug almost swallowed it.. ick! The tooth fairy gave her a two dollar bill this time.

snow days!!

Back in January there were lots of snow days. Bug had never been sledding on a big hill so Mommy Daddy and Bug went over to the Golf C0urse and had some fun! Mommy and Bug beat Daddy and went the furthest!
Coming back up the hill was the hard!!

Bug got Daddy with a snowball and gave kisses after. Then they made snow angels together.

100 day of school!

Bug's class had been putting up ice cream cones up on the wall every day to count each day of school. Finally it was the 100th day and their teacher surprised them with an ice cream party. The children were also asked to dress up like they were 100 years old. Bug thought this was ridiculous but she went along and had fun with it. She loved the wrinkles on her face and giggled when she went to dance class with them on. Bug also chose to put 100 rhinestones on her hat for her 100 day project. She did a great job!

Happy birthday Dr.Suess!!

The library had a fun program to celebrate Read across America which takes place on Dr.Suess's birthday. Bug had lots of fun making her 10 apples up top headband.

Roller girl!! First time to the roller rink!

Bug's first time roller skating was for her cousin's birthday party. There were lots of family there including her Granny, Grandma Carolyn and several great aunts. At first she put on regular skates and could barely stand up. So after switching several pairs, she put on safety skates. She did much better! Bug had fun skating around with her cousin Carolyn and Lexie and doing the chicken dance.

Party girl!!

Of course with the holidays come parties! Bug loves parties and loves to play partytime at home. All in one day she had her school party which was Grinch themed and Mommy was the class mom. Bug had the most fun playing the musical grinch feet and was dancing away with her girl friends. After school it was off to her party at dance class. They had a bounce house, crafts, face painting, and lots more. By the time it was over she was sugared up and ready to get home for dinner and relax.

Gingerbread house tradition

It has become a tradition for Bug to make a gingerbread house. Here are posts from last year and the year before. This year she has become quite good at making them and it turned out great! Bug put all the candies in patterns and was very proud of doing that. When it was finished there was lots of leftover frosting. Mommy told Bug to open her mouth and squirted a bunch of icing right in! Bug thought this was halarious because it was something Mommy would never do!

Visit with Santa...

Bug had several visits with Santa. One in Michigan on the Santa Train and at the Mall. While Mommy had to do her last minute shopping, Bug got another chance to see Santa. This time she whispered to Mommy afterward that she thought he might be "real" Santa. She has figured out that not all of the Santa's are real. Regardless, she stuck to her one request... a Blizzard Maker. She also wanted Baby All Gone, and a Fur Real walking puppy but she always stuck to the Blizzard Maker first and foremost.

Weekend at Papaws...

Papaw was so excited to see everyone and had his usual "treasure" awaiting Bug. First thing she does when she arrives is finds Papaw's change "treasure". She then dumps it out and Papaw likes for her to sort it in piles. The weekend was full of good food, laughs and a fun trip to Santa Train. The wait was quite long in the cold but meanwhile, Mommy had some time to catch up with a good friend and her cute little family. The train was fun and took you around the park to Santa's house with hot chocolate and a visit with Santa. Then you got back on the train and took another ride to the front of the park. It was such a quick but fun weekend!

Storytime with Daddy

Daddy took Bug to the library Christmas party. They read Olive the other reindeer and made a christmas tree craft. Then Rudolph made a surprise appearance! On the way home, Bug told Daddy, "Daddy, I think that was just someone dressed up as Rudolph shakin their booty". Daddy thought this was so funny and laughed and laughed with her.
